Employee Spotlight – Abby Smith

Abby Smith is one of our Senior Account Executive at Paramount Acceptance. She has worked at Paramount for more than 6 years and is a valued member of our team. We recently sat down with Abby and were able to get to know her a little better.

How old are you? Are you married and do you have any kids? – I am 32 years old. I have been married for 8 years and we have one son.

Where is your favorite place to travel? – Italy. The food is amazing and the scenery is beautiful.

Best concert you have ever been to? – Band of Skulls at the South by Southwest festival.

Last book you have read? Did you like it? – “Where the Wild Things Are” I read it to my son Charlie. He loved it.

Who Inspires you? – Kayla Itsines. She motivated me and helped me to enjoy working out.

What’s your favorite movie? – The Notebook or Dumb and Dumber.

What was the last thing you watched on Netflix? – American Horror Story

Favorite part of your job? – Building relationships with my clients and being able to help them.

Where is the one place in the world that you would like to visit one day? – Everywhere! But next on my list is either Peru/Machu Picchu or Greece

Favorite family tradition? – We collect ornaments from the places we travel to. It’s fun because we can reminisce when we put them up at Christmas time each year.

3 Words to describe a typical work week at Paramount?  Busy, Eventful, and Different

What was your first job as a kid/teenager?  I delivered newspapers when I was 11 or 12 years old – in the freezing cold mornings in Alaska!

If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life what would it be? (example: Italian, Mexican, etc.) Thai food! Or Italian. I could eat snow cones every day, too!

What is a random or weird habit you have? Even though my hair is really short, I tend to twist pieces of it around my finger throughout the day.

If you could have dinner with 3 people (dead or alive) who would they be? My grandparents (all of them), Chrissy Teigen because she’s funny, Tony Romo to make my husband jealous!

Which historical event (sports, politics, history, etc.) do you wish you could have witnessed? The Fall of the Berlin Wall.

If you could do one other job (outside of our industry) for one day what would it be? Pilot

If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the FIRST thing you would buy?  A Range Rover as a backup “for fun” car, or a trip around the world.
