Employee Spotlight – Todd Rasmussen
Our second employee spotlight is Todd Rasmussen. Todd has been with the company for over 35 years and has played a crucial role in helping Paramount get to the place we are today.
Todd is currently our Vice President of Technology. He oversees everything that has to do with our software and technology. Below are a few questions we recently asked Todd. Some of his answers may surprise you.
Tell us a little about your family – I have been married for more than 30 years. We have 5 beautiful children. 3 boys and 2 girls. 3 of our kids are married but we don’t have any grandkids yet.
Favorite place to travel with your family – Our family loves to go on cruises. We also enjoy traveling to Lake Powell and Newport Beach, CA.
Last book you have read? – I’m a nerd so I really enjoy computer books. Exciting right?
Who inspires you? – Steve Jobs has been a huge inspiration. I’ve enjoyed learning about his experience and life story.
What was your first job as a kid/teenager? – My first job as a kid was being a bagger at the local grocery store. I also worked in the produce department.
If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life what would it be? – American food. I love hot dogs, burgers, and fries.
What is a random or weird habit you have? – Something weird is that when I talk on the phone I have to be walking around. I can’t be sitting. Also, when I find something that works, I stick with it, like if I find a pair of great shoes I will buy that same pair over and over again.
If you could invite 3 people (dead or alive) to dinner who would they be? I would invite George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams. I love history and I would love to talk to them.
Which historical event (sports, politics, history, etc.) do you wish you could have witnessed? – Landing on the Moon
Coolest Animal? And maybe what would your son say? – Great White Shark
If you could do one other job (outside the industry) for one day what would it be? – Astronaut
What is your favorite movie? – Walter Mitty
Favorite part of your job? – I love the constant innovations in technology. I also love seeing our software and company improve and excel. Mostly though, I love seeing our clients succeed.
Where is one place in the world you would like to visit someday? – Fiji.
Favorite family tradition? – We love making funny family videos together.
